“I really want to visit Film City in Mumbai one day.”
This is just one of the many dreams 15-year-old Nandini carries in her eyes. A confident and ambitious girl from Surat, Gujarat, she will leave you smiling and teary-eyed at the same time. Her father is a labourer and her mother is a housewife. She considers herself very fortunate to have been born to a set of extremely supportive parents who give her the strength to believe in herself and her dreams.
Nandini is blessed with an artistic and creative mind. At times she is busy splashing colours on an empty canvas and sometimes she can be found belting out the lyrics to her favourite song. However, her true euphoric moments are when she is dancing. Dance, for her, is the ultimate form of self-expression. A dedicated and consistent learner, she regularly polishes her skills.
Eagerly wanting to follow in the footsteps of her idol, Remo D’Souza, Nandini also dreams of creating a huge impact in the professional dance world. Like many aspiring performers, she is also mesmerised by the hustling city of dreams- Mumbai.
“When I make something of myself in the future, I want to help and support budding talent.” Our girl is not only a graceful performer but also a compassionate human being. Her heart aches for the children whose talent is suppressed and unnoticed due to lack of support from society, and strongly desires to improve their situation.
She has written this beautiful note for her favourite PassionGuru dance mentor and appreciates her for being an inspiration. That's what we are doing in PassionGuru, we're setting examples and inspirations for them to make them believe that dreams do come true!
These little children have the biggest dreams. It is our responsibility to ensure that the fire of their passions does not fade. We have taken the first step, will you?
